The Christian Life

I ran across an article recently while studying for a message.  I was trying to make the point about having a good attitude because of the fact that we are Christians.  Our sins have been forgiven, we have been pulled from the fires of hell, we have a mansion reserved in Heaven, we've got plenty to thank Him for.  Not to mention all of the benefits that He gives us here on Earth.  So we as Christians, ought to have a good attitude.
The article said, "Life is made up of 10% of what happens to me & 90% of how I react to it."  How many people live in the 10% of their life?  Someone did something, said something, hurt them in some way & although it was not right what happened to them, they live the rest of their lives stuck on those 10% times.
We often have these people tagged as being "bitter".  Those stuck in the 10% miss out on so many good things going on around them.  They go through a continual pattern of rehearsing, nursing, & cursing their problems.  They refuse to let go.
As Christians we must learn to let go of these things that we CAN NOT CHANGE.  That don't mean that we have to like them, but if we are not careful we will waste our lives circling around in the wilderness of the 10%.  Give those things to God, let God deal with them.  Don't live in the 10%, live in the 90%.  Yield yourself to God & serve Him with what He has given you to do.
By the way, He knows what you have to deal with in life.  Many times, those are just things He is using to mold you more into the image of Jesus.  He is using those problem areas to help you to be able to minister to others.  Think about how much more you can help someone going through a difficult time in life, simply because you can truly say, "I know what you are going through".
With all of that said, here is my conclusion on How we are to live the Christian life.
Live in the 90%
Yielded 100%
Giving it 110%
