I Peter 3:13-14 says "And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;". Peter asks the question, "who is he that will harm you"? If you look at the context of the scripture, we find that Peter shows us, toward the end of Chapter 2, the example that we have been given in Jesus Christ. We come in to Chapter 3 and see that God gives this example for wives, then husbands, then for "all" to follow. We then see a contrast of Christianity. We see that there are those who "do good" and those who "do evil".
With that in mind, we get back to Peter's question. "Who is he that will harm you?"

The Christian Life
I ran across an article recently while studying for a message. I was trying to make the point about having a good attitude because of the fact that we are Christians. Our sins have been forgiven, we have been pulled from the fires of hell, we have a mansion reserved in Heaven, we've got plenty to thank Him for. Not to mention all of the benefits that He gives us here on Earth. So we as Christians, ought to have a good attitude.
The article said, "Life is made up of 10% of what happens to me & 90% of how I react to it." How many people live in the 10% of their life? Someone did something, said something, hurt them in some way & although it was not right what happened to them, they live the rest of their lives stuck on those 10% times.

My First Blog
I remember the first time I heard the word "blog". It made me think of a stopped up sink or toilet. I knew that was not right but I never took the time to try & figure out what it was. I thought that it was a teen fad and would go away. Then, one day, I asked the seemingly idiotic question, "What is a BLOG?" "Well why in the world would someoe want to do that for?", "That makes absolutely no sense to me". After a few years of pondering this thing we call a BLOG, I realized something great. I realized that I could use this as a tool to encourage others to look to Christ. I now pastor a church as where then I didn't. Our church now has a website where then it didn't. It all made sense. To link the church website & my blog together. Now I can post some things that the format of our website will not allow me to do. Now I can share some things with people that our website cannot. I recently saw one of my relative's blog page & was really impressed with what I saw. Impressed enough to start one of my own. I look forward to posting things that I hope & pray will encourage you. So here it is! My First BLOG.
